Long before the time of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, Gollum was a hobbit named Sméagol who murdered his cousin Déagol after he found the One Ring in the River Anduin. Those familiar with Gollum will know that he wasn't always the lanky, mutated creature that he is. The Lord of the Rings character Gollum is known for being a slimy creature with a knack for deception and mischief whose passionate devotion to the One Ring makes him both crafty and reckless. ![]()
